Day Care and Residential Resource Centres

A little about working in our team

Our teams put people at the centre in planning their health care package and helping them to live their life well by providing choices and the support to live independently in the community.

The ambition is to help people to be happy, healthy and at home.

All services specialise in care for people with different physical and mental health needs and are staffed by Health & Social Care qualified staff.

  • We provide Day Care support in-house that adheres to an enabling culture based around supporting independent living. The services are culturally sensitive and respect people’s cultural and diverse needs. All the establishments have disabled access.
  • We deliver five Extra Care schemes across the Bradford district in partnership with varying Housing Associations.
  • We offer Extra Care Housing which supports the needs of those who may no longer be able to live independently within their present home.

Types of job roles in our team

Unit Manager

You would manage the provision of a comprehensive residential and community care facility. This involves seeing that resources allocated to the unit are efficiently deployed. You’d work closely with service users and carers so they can influence the service provided and enable them to develop their potential.

Deputy Unit Manager

You’d deputise for the unit manager as appropriate to ensure that the highest possible levels of professionals and managerial practice govern the work of staff and the operation of the unit.

Assistant Unit Manager

You would provide care in its broadest sense to the group of service users within the establishment. You’d encourage them to achieve their potential – physical, intellectual, emotional or social – taking into account different cultural backgrounds.

You’ll deliver flexible administrative and reception services that provide information, advice and access to officers in other parts of the Council and to members of the public or other public sector bodies. You’ll manage a variety of information requests in a timely and confidential manner.

Community Care Support Worker

You’ll help care for service users within a residential resource centre. This involves providing services in a way which ensures dignity, respect, privacy and confidentiality of information, that ultimately encourage independent living.
